This list of attributes was written by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen, of his second wife, Aline. Eero is most famous, among many other executions, for the Gateway Arch in St. Louis (that I only came to know through American idol) and for being part of the Sydney Opera House commission that selected the now world-famous design.
* The note is so sweet, I just had to post about the writer!

My only problem with these two, Zavier and Leila, is that they’re both thousands of miles away, and I have to see them grow up via Skype. And also, Leila is now more amused by Dora than by my Twinkle, twinkle little star, I have two hands, Little Sunny water.

Such a cute moment between this husband and wife duo.
I’ve watched a lot of intensity from Win all these years of being an Arcade Fire fan but never thought he’d soften up like that for everyone to see, giving a peck on Regine’s cheek. I’m so smitten.
This was on their concert at Madison Square Garden. He did the same in their SNL performance.

One of the weirdest but fun wedding moments I was ever part of was at Thomas and Vera’s in August last year.
It happened near the end of the reception program, when the newly weds got ready to say their thanks. Vera’s maid of honor Chai suddenly burst into a song and their other two best friends Russ and Leo broke into an interpretative dance. Leo led the couple out of the venue and to the balcony of Chateau de Busay. Russ, speaking in a language only he understood with a squeaky bird sound, invited the guests to follow the couple.
At the balcony, the three thespians made Thommas and Vera seat on chairs placed on top of tables, then invited willing friends to merry-go-around the tables, singing “Top of the World”.
Then, colors burst into the dark skies. Fireworks!

Goodbye, love
I have not written a serious prose for a long long time and over the weekend, while sifting through my closet and getting rid of even my comfort shirts (aka the shirts I put on when I don’t have time to have to decide on what to wear), I wondered if writing is one of those passing things in my life. When it’s time to sift through the elements that make up my existence, is writing one of those that I’d stack w/o second thoughts in the box labeled as “Clutters” along with brochures and ancient and unused photo albums? For a while, somewhere between UP and my 25th, I thought writing is going to save me. I thought it will be my ticket to a career in media. But after a long stint in CDN and a VERY short stint in EV Mail, I have accepted the most painful fact that I cannot have a life that will be sustained by my writing. I lack the discipline to be an accomplished writer. I’ve tried all the advises that have come my way. Cheryl Tiu told me, “Write a shitty first draft, leave it for a day, then go back to it for editing.” Ms Estela said, “If you have to finish something, you really have to sit down for it.” There are too many distractions in my life; and I made the wrong choices. Over time, I’d be more comfortable filling in a strict 140-character blank than a bottomless blank page. I can’t face this bottomless blank page (something I’d live with and for in a previous life of insane, nonstop writing) without getting fidgety. Writing scares me. Deadlines torment me. I know I’m wasting something here.

I just love the red tree in the blurry background.
Someday, you kids will grow up, and everything that mattered will gently (and sometimes harshly) fade to the recesses of your memories. Been there, felt that.

We shall continue to hope for things that can take us by wild surprise and glee.

Long avenues lined with trees are simply gorgeous, may they be pine trees, palm trees, maple trees, or coconut trees.
P.S. Who could that gentleman be?

The sun is the star of this photo. Everything else is just complementary.

The floral dress, the glaze of the sun, the messy chignon, the bare feet on weedy grass.
Summer’s a girl.
